OPEN COMMUNICATION=

A. Troy Engelhardt review= ed recent informal conversations he has had with various Adrian and Ballard community members regarding the possibility of a co-op between Ballard and Adrian for the high school football program. Mr. Engelhardt stressed that these= were only informal inquiries between citizens, not a request from either school. At Mr. EngelhardtR= 17;s request, Mr. Siebeneck contacted MSHSAA regarding requirements for athletic co-ops. There are several fac= tors to consider for both schools, and due to the process, the 2012/13 school ye= ar would be first possible date to participate.&nbs= p; Discussed. No decision= was made as to whether Ballard would be interested. Mr. Siebeneck was asked to visit w= ith the Adrian School Athletic Director to get his feelings on the issue and establish that district’s position.

A. Reviewed the Financial= Risk Assessment as completed by Mr. Stark. (attached)

B. Discussed the possibil= ity of replacing the outdated booster/sponsor sign in the gym. Booster Club is discussing plans f= or a new sign. At the least, the c= urrent sign needs to be taken down.

C. The proposed PTO sign = was discussed. It was noted that = no formal request has been made to administration or the school board. PTO should seek permission before = informing patrons of intended plans to spend fund raising money. Consensus to not contribute or des= ignate school funds for this possible project.

D. Some community members= have asked to have a clock put in the gym. It was noted that several clocks have been broken by stray balls, etc. so the last one was simply not replaced. This could easily be done.

E. = Discussed whether to have a Christmas dinner this year. There has been declining interest by staff in recent years due to the busy holiday season. Consensus to not hold a Christmas dinner, but to find another way to express board appreciation of the faculty and staff.
