A+ Program

Ballard High School applied for A+ designation in 2009. The class of 2013 is the first eligible class to have the opportunity to qualify for free college tuition pending the continuation of program support from the state legislature.

Ballard High School graduates who meet specific A+ criteria will be eligible to receive reimbursement for tuition and general fees to attend any public community college or vocational or technical school in the state of Missouri for two years (up to six semesters) once official designation is granted.

Scholarships are listed as completely as possible and updated as information is received.  As always, if the information is unclear or if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Lovelace.  Current year scholarship opportunities are arriving daily.  

 

Area Tech Opportunities

There are several opportunities for technical training in the surrounding area.  Many of these can be funded by scholarships earned by completing the A+ program.  To view a sampling of these, please follow this link: Area Technical Training

 

MAP and EOC Testing

MAP testing for grades 3 - 8 will be announced as soon as possible.

EOC (End of Course) testing for Senior High students will be announced as soon as possible.

 

ACT TESTING

ACT Test Dates

SIGNING UP FOR THE ACT?  Before you click on the link below review the Big 6.

  1. Ballard's School Code is: 260 410.
  2. You do not need to take the Writing part.
  3. They let you send your score to schools (colleges) free - take advantage of this.
  4. Yes, if you retake later, they will take your highest scores.
  5. When signing up, you do not need to be "exact" when answering the grade/interest questions.
  6. Print Out your admission ticket.

Students who qualify for free or reduced priced lunches can apply through the Counselor for an ACT fee waiver.  This can be done two times.  Contact Mr. Franklin for information.

ASVAB Testing

Beginning with the 2014/15 school year, all sophomores will take the ASVAB at Ballard R-II yearly.  Please utilize this link for more ASVAB information.  For information on understanding your ASVAB score, please click here.
