Mandatory Sports Participation Meetings
Parents who have a child or children participating in High School Girls VOLLEYBALL there will be a MANDATORY athletic participation meeting on Thursday, July 24 at 7 pm in the Social Studies Room.
Parents who have a child or children participating in any other activity throughout the school year including: Girls and Boys Junior High Basketball, Junior High Cheerleading, High School Girls and Boys Basketball, High School Cheerleading, and High School Baseball and Softball, will have a MANDATORY athletic participation meeting on Thursday, August 21, at 7 pm in the Social Studies Room.
Important topics such as concussion injury information, athletic and team handbooks, MSHSAA information, Booster Club information, and collection of physicals (if available) and insurance information will be discussed. If your child has not received a physical we recommend the free physicals at Bates County Memorial Hospital Outpatient Clinic on Saturday, July 19. Times include: Boys 8-11am and Girls 12-3 pm. These are open times, no appointment is necessary. It is required that each student has a current physical and insurance coverage on file, signed handbooks, and MSHSAA paperwork signed. Please bring insurance information and physical if available to the mandatory meeting.
In order for the student to start their first practice, ALL paperwork (which includes MSHSAA and Ballard) and a meeting with the Athletic Director and coach are REQUIRED. Your child will also be required to have AT LEAST 14 sport conditioning practices prior to their first athletic contest.
In the Forms Section of this website you will find a MSHSAA physical form, MSHSAA eligibility and Authorization Statement along with Insurance and Contact Information paperwork.
Volleyball practice will begin August 4. Junior High Practice will begin August 28.
