Grandparents' Day 2015

On Friday, December 11, Ballard held their annual Grandparents Day luncheon. There was a great turnout, as there is every year, and the students enjoyed the time they got to spend catching up and having a good meal with their grandparents. The cooks did a wonderful job preparing the food this year. As usual, the 6th grade class did a fantastic job serving drinks, dessert, and clearing tables as soon as people were done eating.  Overall, the day was a huge success, and we are all excited for next year.

To add excitement to the day, Mr. Siebeneck and Coach Hillman chose to be “human sundaes” and let the elementary students pour sundae toppings all over them. Tickets were $4 and if you bought a ticket, you could choose one topping to pour on either Mr. Siebeneck or Coach Hillman. All the money that was collected will be going towards the preschool program here at Ballard. Mr. Siebeneck stated, “Although I had to keep my eyes closed most of the time, I enjoyed listening to the kids laugh. It was for the kids, and they enjoyed it.”
