Art Show

On Friday, April 29, Ballard High School hosted an art show featuring artwork from many students in grades K-12. There were many different varieties of artwork, from pencil sketches to pastel drawings and from paper mâché to clay pottery. Like always, there was a great amount of support from the community as many came in to see the artwork the students had created.

Receiving first place in the elementary was Audrey Foster with “Pretty Butterfly” second place was Macie Wainscott with “Fall Leaves” and third place was Ashton Carullo with “Ice Cream Cone.” In the high school, first place was awarded to “Cherry Blossoms” by Ray Cummings, second place was awarded to “Koi Fish” by Tatiana Martinez, and third place was awarded to “Reproduction” by Holly Tate. The high school also awarded three students with an “Honorable Mention” award: Katrina Clark with “Looking Giraffe”, Addie Dowse with “Self Portrait”, and Tatiana Martinez with “A Day in the Garden.”

Overall, the students had great artwork portrayed in the show and it was great to see all the different aspects of everyone’s artwork. Great job to everyone who participated!
