The Ballard R-II School District is pleased to be working in conjunction with the Adrian Optimist Club to honor a Student of the Month for the 2019-2020 school year.

Student of the Month is selected by the staff of the Ballard R-II School District using the following criteria: attendance, attitude towards others and school, behavior, leadership, and improvement in or maintenance of good grades.

The Student of the Month for September is senior Brice Eidson, son of Ritchie and Tina Eidson. Business teacher, Cheryl Murchie states, “He always has a smile and a great attitude.  He is a great role model for his school mates and the younger students. If the elementary students stop him in the hall he will take the time to visit with them. I can count on Brice to help me with anything I need done, from copying to climbing a ladder and running cables for me.”  Principal Dustin Bridges states, “Brice is a student leader and great role model for the elementary classes.  From the time he walks in the doors he is always smiling and willing to talk to the elementary students or give high fives or an occasional hug. He is always willing to take the time, showing them that they do matter.”

For Brice’s hard work in school, he is receiving a certificate of recognition from the Adrian Optimist Club and $20.00 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks.” Pictured at left:  Principal Dustin Bridges, Brice Eidson, and Optimist Member Jerry Ferguson
