Those individuals wishing to file as candidate for the Ballard R-II Board of Education for the April 6, 2021, election must file a declaration of candidacy in the office of the Superintendent.  Two(2) directors will be elected for three(3) year terms.

Any person who files as a candidate for public office shall be disqualified from participation in the election for which the candidate has filed if such person is delinquent in the payment of any state income taxes, personal property taxes, real property taxes on the place of residence, as stated on the declaration of candidacy, or if the person is a past or present corporate officer of any fee office that owes any taxes to the state.  Each potential candidate for election shall file a “Candidate’s Affidavit of Tax Payments and Bonding Requirements” with the Department of Revenue and include a copy of the affidavit with the declaration of candidacy.  This form (5120) is available in the Superintendent’s office, as well as online at http://dor.mo.gov/personal/candidates/.

The opening time and date to file is 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020, and the closing date is 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021.  Sign-up on regular “in-session” school days, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and until 5:00 p.m. on January 19, 2021.  The Superintendent’s office will be closed December 18, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. until Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 8:00 a.m.
