My name is Sarah Russell, and this is my first year teaching. I graduated from UCM in 2000 with degrees in history and sociology. I was a stay-at-home mom until my youngest started school. I then began working in education for the next nine years. I was encouraged to get my Missouri Certificate when I talked to my friends and family about how much I loved working with the kids in school. My husband and I just celebrated 21 years of marriage. He is retired from active-duty Army National Guard. My oldest just started college this year and he is studying to be a teacher. My middle son is attending Clinton Technical School this year and seems to love it. My youngest darling is my daughter. She is a freshman this year and her claim to fame is that she can outride and out hunt her brothers. We love spending time together hiking and white water river rafting. I am excited that I get to share my love of history with the kids here at Ballard. They make every day a new and exciting adventure. Not too many people get to say they love their job and can't wait for the week to begin!
