GVVC Conference Math Relay

The Golden Valley Vernon County Conference Math Relay took place at NEVC March 9, 2016.  Ballard was represented by 24 students, four from each math class in grades 7-12.  After 6 years as Conference Champs, Ballard passed the traveling trophy to Montrose, but the students fully intend to take it back again next year!  Two Ballard individuals did come home with medals, as did four of the six teams.  Levi Meade placed 1st in Advanced Math, and Sabrina Walsh placed 2nd in the same contest.  The Advanced Math team (Levi Meade, Sabrina Walsh, Morgan Meade, and TJ Sickels) won 2nd place.  The Geometry . . .

Ballard Super Spellers

On Tuesday, March 1, the Ballard Elementary held their annual Spelling Bee.  All students in each class competed to see if they would advance to the Conference Spelling Bee that would be held a week later.  Below is a list of the winners of the Ballard Spelling Bee.  The class winners are positioned starting with the first place winners are the left, second place winners in the middle, and third place winners on the right.   Congratulations to the Ballard Spellers! Student of the Month, March 2016

The Ballard R-II School District is pleased to be working in conjunction with the Adrian Optimist Club to honor a Student of the Month for the 2015-2016 school year. Student of the Month is selected by the staff of the Ballard R-II School District using the following criteria: attendance, attitude towards others and school, behavior, leadership, and improvement in or maintenance of good grades.
