Project Prom Tip Night at the Ballard Grill will be Saturday, February 6, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Jr. & Sr. students will be working for tips. Money will go for prizes and expenses for Project Prom.

Ballard R-2 School is in need of substitute teachers. Applicants must have a valid Missouri teaching or substitute teaching certificate. To obtain a substitute certificate (apply online at www.dese.mo.gov in the Educator Certification section), you must have at least 60 college credits and a current background check. Employment Applications are available at www.ballardr2.net or you can pick one up in the school office.

All-District Jr. Honors Band

January 16th was the date for the West Central All-District Jr. Honors Bands. Dale Dowse was a member of the eighth grade West Central All-District Jr. High Honors Band, which was directed by Mr. Steve Litwiller. During auditions, he was seated at second chair first trumpet. We should all be very proud of Dale and how he represented Ballard among schools even as large as Warrensburg and Grain Valley. I hope to see more students get involved in such activities in the future.   read more

Student of the Month, January 2016

The Ballard R-II School District is pleased to be working in conjunction with the Adrian Optimist Club to honor a Student of the Month for the 2015-2016 school year. Elementary Artists of the Month, January 2016

Every month Ms. Wirsig will pick a young artist from each grade, K-6, to be an “Artist of the Month.” These students show artistic skill, leadership, and good behavior in the art room.
