Ballard R-2 School is in need of substitute teachers. Applicants must have a valid Missouri teaching or substitute teaching certificate. To obtain a substitute certificate (apply online at www.dese.mo.gov in the Educator Certification section), you must have at least 60 college credits and a current background check. Employment Applications are available at www.ballardr2.net or you can pick one up in the school office.

Class of 2015 Graduates

On Friday, May 8, 2015, Commencement was held at the Ballard High School. The ceremony started with the graduates walking in to “Pomp & Circumstance,” played by Mrs. Raelynn Kershner. Mr. Jimmie Barton gave an opening welcome speech and then introduced the eighth grade graduates of the Class of 2019. They were handed their certificates that showed that they are ready to advance to the high school level by the President of the Board of Education, Mrs. Tina Oerke. The Ballard R-II School District is pleased to be working in conjunction with the Adrian Optimist Club to honor a Student of the Month for the 2014-2015 school year.
