Outstanding Teacher!

The Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics ( MCTM) held it’s annual Fall Conference on December 1-2, 2017 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia. On Friday , December 1, Raelynn Kershner was recognized as the Outstanding Middle School Educator of 2017 for the state of Missouri.  Mrs. Kershner has served the Ballard  R-II School District  since 1987 with a two-year break teaching in Indonesia.  She is a member of multiple professional organizations, including Ballard Community Teachers Association, MTSA,  Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics  and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. She has given numerous presentations to improve teaching in the  Ballard School District and surrounding areas. Raelynn continues to focus on her students. She states, “One thing I still do, that I’ve always done, is expect my students to go out and do great things.  I’ve seen it happen over and over again.  I don’t expect it to change.”  Ballard is fortunate to have such an outstanding educator.
